View and manage your products

Search & Filter

Use the search bar to find products by name, SKU, or description. You can also filter by status (active, inactive) or tax category.

Sorting

Click column headers to sort products by name, price, status, or date created. Click again to reverse the sort order.

Editing Products

How to modify product information.

Open Product

Click the product name or the Edit button to open the product details form.

Modify Fields

Update any field as needed. All fields are editable including name, price, tax category, and SKU.

Save Changes

Click Save to apply your changes. Updates take effect immediately for new invoices.

Existing Invoices

Editing a product does not affect invoices already created. Those invoices retain the original product details at the time of creation.

Activating & Deactivating Products

Control product availability without deleting.

Instead of deleting products, you can deactivate them to hide them from product selection while preserving their history.

Active
  • • Visible in product lists
  • • Can be added to invoices
  • • Appears in reports
Inactive
  • • Hidden from product selection
  • • Cannot be added to new invoices
  • • Historical data preserved

Seasonal Products

Deactivation is great for seasonal products. Deactivate them when out of season and reactivate when available again.

Deleting Products

Removing products from your catalog.

Products with History

Products that have been used in invoices or receipts cannot be permanently deleted. They can only be deactivated to preserve audit trail integrity.

Soft Delete

When you delete a product, it's moved to the trash and can be restored within 30 days.

Restoring Deleted Products

Go to Products → Deleted, find the product, and click Restore to bring it back to your active catalog.

Permanent Deletion

After 30 days in trash, products are permanently removed. Products with transaction history are retained in an archived state.

Bulk Actions

Perform actions on multiple products at once.

Select Products

Use the checkboxes on the left side of the product list to select multiple products. Click the header checkbox to select all visible products.

Choose Action

Available bulk actions:

  • Activate - Set all selected to active
  • Deactivate - Set all selected to inactive
  • Delete - Move all selected to trash
  • Export - Download selected as CSV

Confirm

Review the number of selected products and confirm the action. Bulk operations cannot be undone (except for delete which can be restored).

Exporting Products

Download your product catalog.

Export your products to CSV for backup, analysis, or migration to another system.

Export All

Download all products including both active and inactive items.

Export Selected

Use bulk selection to export only specific products.

Regular Backups

Consider exporting your product catalog regularly as a backup. This can help recover from accidental changes.
